1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see your password), role (farmer or buyer), and ZIP code.
• Farmer profiles: farm name and related details you provide.
• Listings: product names, descriptions, prices, quantities, and photos you upload.
• Messages & reservations: communications between buyers and sellers and reservation records, so the marketplace can function.
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

2. How We Use It

We use your information to operate the marketplace: creating accounts, displaying listings, enabling reservations and messaging, processing subscriptions, and communicating with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information.

3. What We Share

• Public: your farm name, listings, and listing photos are visible to anyone browsing the marketplace.
• Between users: when you message or reserve with another user, they see your name and the content you send them.
• Service providers: Stripe (payments), our hosting providers (Netlify, Render), and our database provider (Neon) — only as needed to run the service.
• Legal: if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.

4. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Choices

You may update your account information in your dashboard, or request deletion of your account by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and listings; reservation and message records needed for other users' history may be retained.

6. Children

The Platform is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
